Serenity in Malibu.

Pros: The cottage was cute with a beach vibe decor and very peaceful and serene, the perfect place to rest and recuperate after travelling internationally for a month. The deck is great at night with the fairy lights on. The lady managing the property was lovely. As I was not driving she took me on a local tour of the area to show me Zuma beach and the hiking trails.

Cons: It is easy to misinterpret the context of the property if you are an international traveller unfamiliar with Malibu. To clarify: - the cottage is not on or walking distance from the beach, but is a relatively short drive from two beaches, Zuma and Paradise Point. The cottage is walkable distance to the shops - if you take the short cut across the paddocks -and dodge some serious traffic while walking on the road verge. In short, doable on foot with buses, but best enjoyed if you are travelling with a car.
