A unique spot in the hills of Pasadena with a great view and an even greater host!
Pros: The Patrician is a unique place. You need to have a car to get there, but once you are there, you have an incredible view and very quiet and safe surroundings. Most important about The Patrician is TJ, the owner. He runs this place with love and dedication, is always there if you need support, prepares a wonderful breakfast, and is one of the best hosts we have ever experienced!
Cons: Our room has not been the biggest, and the furniture is a bit older. But everything was very clean, and in comparison with the strong sides of The Patrician, these were only minor issues.

A special stay experience, like no other!
Pros: Exquisite furnishings, comfortable bed, superb breakfast, and a wonderful host!! A scale of 12 out of 10!! I wish we had stayed more than one night.
Cons: Parking was a little tight, but the host helped us do it safely. This one might seem silly, but my feet were cold just wearing socks on bare floors. I would’ve liked a suggestion beforehand to bring some soft-soled slippers or extra socks, since we couldn’t wear shoes. (I didn’t make a connection about that.)

Pros: Everything!!! The location! The view! The quality of care given to each guest! If you’re even thinking about staying here, just do it! Amazing experience! And a huge thank you to T.J. for the care he takes to ensure every guest has the best stay possible.
Cons: The only imperfect part of our trip was the hot weather. The Patrician Hollywood Universal is an amazing place to stay. Still can’t believe it turned out to be everything we hoped for and more!

Flawless experience made possible by our host TJ
Pros: In all my years of traveling, I have never met such a good host as TJ. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was always the most considerate and helpful host you could wish for. He made the whole stay hassle free by anticipating all our needs, recommending how to reach places and went above and beyond by even treating us to home made cocktails and waiting for us with food after the event we attended. On top of that he has great stories to share and is simple a great person to be around.
Cons: Wish we had stayed longer.

The visit was very nice. The home is unique and comfortable. T.J. was a great host.
Pros: The breakfast was very nice. Everything was fresh and delicious. The croissants were baked perfectly. They were extra special with a little chocolate in the middle. Everything was nicely presented.
Cons: Nothing could have been better. In fact the stay was more than expected with the host, T.J., treating us to some awesome cocktails. We only wish there had not been fog in the morning so we could have sat out enjoying the yard a little more.

A Unique Experience!
Pros: More like staying at a friend’s house. Beautiful views,tasteful decor. Unsurpassed continental breakfast. TJ, the host, is charming and helpful. However if you must have a tv, or can’t handle any stairs, it may not be for you.

Pros: It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The house itself is lovely with stunning view of LA. The host, TJ, is very friendly and made us feeling like at home, a lot of interesting talks, details are well-taken care. We would like to come back when we next time visit Pasadena.

Uniquely Californian gem with an attentive, interesting host
Pros: The location was gorgeous and everything went smoothly and as advertised. Communication prior was great, and I felt like I had my privacy but also an attentive host.
Cons: That I didn’t stay long enough to enjoy a sunset on the beautiful patio!
