Ojai Valley Inn

Best luxury hotel we have ever stayed at !

Pros: The grounds were perfectly manicured. My maid did a perfect job. The spa was wonderful. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever seen.

Cons: We left very early at 6:00 am. The front desk & bell hop did not answer their phone which put us behind schedule.

It is a very worthwhile place to visit.

Pros: Beautiful location, great spa. The golf pro Jeff Johnson is wonderful. The hiking guy Scott is great.

Cons: There does not seem to have enough staff at the restarurant - Oak. Can be much more expedient.

Pros: the staff was friendly and accommodating, the spa was fantastic as well as the pools. Also dinner and full breakfast at the main restaurant was great

Pros: The breakfast was excellent as was the view from the Oak Room. The gardens and grounds are so pretty and the gym is exceptional. I also liked the pilates class we took which was included in our stay. All staff were gracious and the room was so comfortable and beautifully decorated.

Cons: The dinner we had was good but not great but the service was excellent. Other than that I loved the place and would seek to return at every opportunity. I really didn't want to leave.

Gorgeous stay in the Ojai area.

Pros: One of the most gorgeous properties I have ever stayed. Loved the expansive property.

Cons: When checking in, we had to wait for a while due to a large group checking in. The front desk attendant was awesome to help with the chaos due to the group checking in. When checking out, we asked for an hour extension due to check in taking a long time, and I wanted to visit the fitness gym after sleeping in and enjoying my coffee. The front desk attendant compromised and allowed us to check out at 11:30. Would have been nice to stay more than one night at this property.

Pros: Rooms were clean. Housekeeping gave extra care with cord straps and pixies. Restaurant staff was above and beyond at Olivella.

Cons: The Communication gap between the front desk and valet left a lot to be desired. First time we had to be in Ventura harbor early am we waited for 30 mins for our car. It wasn’t called, then they couldn’t find it bc it was not attached to the room correctly. The second time we called down 20 mins ahead of time when I was checking out and asked them to retrieve the car and it still hadn’t been called yet. It took another 15. The valet guys are all working hard. It’s a breakdown in communications between the front desk and the valet team.

Excellent place when you need to get away from it all and sleep in the most amazing bed of your life

Pros: The bed and pillows were amazing. Best night's sleep I have had in years! The bathroom was excellent. The property is very tranquil even though we are not golfers. I would have liked to have seen a better fish selection on the restaurant menu, and the gift shop prices were crazy high. ($500. for a sweater!)
