Would really recommend this hotel and go back. Cooled, with a chilled vibe hotel.

Pros: Beachfront hotel with bar and restaurant. Near other bars and restaurants and the pier. Friendly staff, clean hotel with heated toilet seat🤣 We had an amazing sound bath on the beach.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach!

Pros: I loved this hotel. It is beautifully decorated and located right on the beach! High service, beautiful view! Small and quiet. Rooms was delicate and fronting the ocean view. I would love to come back to this place and this hotel!

Pros: Easy parking; friendly and helpful staff. Dolphins and whales visible from balcony.

Cons: The American curse of tipping for everything. Road to LA blocked making for large detour: obviously not the fault of the hotel. Draconian no smoking policy: fines starting at 700US$ and unlimited with expulsion. I'm not a smoker but policy was only communicated after I had paid for stay. Not what I would associate with Californian hospitality.

The perfect Malibu experience!

Pros: My stay at the Malibu Beach Inn was nothing short of exceptional. The breathtaking view from my room offered a serene escape, perfectly complementing the tranquility that allowed me to focus on a deadline and recharge. The room itself was impeccably appointed, blending comfort with understated luxury. Both room service and the Carbon Beach Club Restaurant exceeded expectations. I hosted a meeting with a mentee at the restaurant, and the attentive, professional service elevated the experience further. A particular highlight was the warmth and hospitality of the staff, especially the European receptionist who graciously escorted me to my room. Her genuine kindness made me feel truly welcome and at ease. If ever I seek a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Los Angeles, the Malibu Beach Inn will undoubtedly be my destination of choice.

Cons: That said, I would have appreciated a handheld shower for added convenience, and I hope they address the issues with the clocks. The wall display was inexplicably stuck in 2019, and the clock on the nightstand displayed the wrong time, causing a brief panic before my flight until I realized the error. Despite these minor inconveniences, my experience was a solid 10/10.

Just fabulous

Pros: The bed was fabulous. Best sleep of my travels. The fire in the room was lovely. There were nuts and dried fruits waiting on our arrival. The restaurant overlooking the water was superb. The free cookies were amazing.
