Pros: I liked that it is right next to the train from the airport. The hostel had a lovely front garden sitting area. The kitchen and eating area was warm and inviting with lots of lively discussion at the large dining table. The building is clean and interesting with several small balconies to enjoy. The bedding was clean . A small breakfast is provided which is quite adequete and definirely better than none at all . The area was on the fringes of a rough area but also on the fringes of a posh area. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
Cons: Only being able to stay 1 week in a year. Also it felt a little intimidating having to prove onward accomodation and travel but i understand why. (Maintaining travellor environment and not homeless shelter which has been my experience in many hostels)

It was a great experience and I highly recommend if you are on a budget.
Pros: Staff were nice and I feel like they did everything possible to ensure check-in was seamless though I arrived later than planned.
Cons: Breakfast time can be made earlier so that people travelling for business can set out early.

Pros: I was very satisfied with my bed, as it could be fully covered by curtains and had a comfortable plug position. I chose a 6-bed female room, and we had our own balcony and storage room. But again, the big plus was the curtains—they fully covered the bed, so I felt safe and had privacy. They have nice outside area to sit, work and enjoy.
Cons: The one uncomfortable thing was the rule that check-in closes at 10 PM, so if you arrive later than that, you won’t be able to enter. I was worried because my flight arrived after 10, but they sent me an email with all the necessary codes so I could enter, sleep, and check in the next morning. That was very nice of them, and I hope they do the same for others in similar situations. One other guest and I did struggle at first with the main door code—it wouldn’t open until someone from inside came out. Otherwise, I’m not sure how we would have managed.

Pros: Rumi Hostel in Koreatown is a great place if you are looking for a more quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I stayed in a female-only dorm, and I really appreciated that each bed had curtains, giving you extra privacy and comfort. The guests were all travelers, which made the environment feel peaceful and respectful — perfect if you want to rest or just have a more private experience during your trip. The location is very convenient too, close to public transportation, restaurants, and shops. If you're looking for a clean, cozy place mainly for travelers, Rumi Hostel is definitely a good option in Los Angeles.
Cons: I should've been more Time there! Next time will be :)
