A comfortable stay on the way up noth
Pros: Calabasas is a very lovely area, being located in the heart of it, it is simple and affordable, which is a great plus. Will definitely try again and recommend to others
Cons: There are better breakfast areas within walking distance to the hotel. I would suggest either upgrading the service to that standard or recommend guests to use those services

Pros: Clean and rooms were large. Bed was very comfy, facilities were great: large tv, mini fridge with freezer space, microwave, bathroom.
Cons: I originally booked a standard room, not knowing that standard rooms face the freeway. So I upgraded for a very reasonable $10 a day to the superior room. Very happy resolution.

really good place to stay - you get more than your moneys worth
Pros: The staff were super friendly, the room was rather big, the location was more than ideal, and the cost was incredibly affordable
Cons: Honestly, not much. Maybe the food options within the hotel itself, but saying that, there were plenty close by.

A well-located hotel with lots of potential, though a few issues meant our stay wasn’t as comfortable as it could have b
Pros: The hotel is perfectly located in the neighbourhood of Calabasas, with plenty to see and do nearby. The pool area, while small, was never overcrowded, and towels were usually available—on the rare occasion they weren’t, reception promptly sent staff to replenish them. The atmosphere during the day was very relaxed, and the front-of-house staff were always on hand to help. I didn’t pass reception once without seeing someone at the desk. Overall, it was an ideal base for us and served its purpose exactly as we intended.
Cons: Unfortunately, our stay was let down by several issues. The lobby area smelt horrendous for the duration of our visit, with an odour I can only compare to sewage. The showers were very poorly designed, with water gushing onto the floor unless the head was directed at the wall. Housekeeping was inconsistent—our room was not cleaned daily, and there was no door sign provided to request service. We had to ask at reception for clean towels, as maids couldn’t see that ours were soaked due to the shower design. The lift was shared with staff transporting bedding and supplies. While they were polite and happy to wait, it sometimes felt awkward using the lift at the same time. The nearby 101 highway was busy at all hours, but that wasn’t as much of an issue for us. Unfortunately, our neighbouring guests were extremely inconsiderate. For the last nights of our stay, our sleep was disrupted between 1am and 4am by a variety of loud and unpleasant noises that I certainly hadn’t intended my daughter to be woken up to hear. It sounded as if they were in our room the noise was so bad. Reception did send security on the first night, but they claimed they didn’t notice anything. On our final night, after returning from Sequoia, music was blaring through the walls from 11pm onwards. When I reported this to reception, the staff member initially seemed doubtful, but after I showed him video evidence, he offered us a different room. While this did give us a better night’s sleep, with different neighbours and little highway noise, I felt upset that we were the ones asked to pack up and move at midnight, rather than the inconsiderate guests. Hopefully, others won’t have the same experience, but I would strongly recommend bringing earplugs and perhaps a white noise machine/app for your own comfort and rest. Other hotels we stayed in have provided these as basics.

good value for money and location!
Pros: the staff were lovely and the hotel rooms were massive even just for one person, the pool was small and very quiet most days.
Cons: some days the maids would not clean your room and you had to request for the maids to clean your room as they did it until 2:30pm, and if they didn’t clean your room you’d have to sleep in a dirty room, and the room was overall very clean just some parts were a little dusty/dirty!
