Short Stories is a new hotel experience located in the center of it all. We’re a short walk to the best shopping, dining, and museums the city has to offer. Drawing inspiration from Los Angeles’s breezy natural aesthetic, our hotel serves as a tranquil retreat in an urban core. Well appointed and thoughtfully designed, our rooms offer a comfortable place to call your own. Each room features local artwork by Kenton Nelson and custom décor creating unique, unforgettable spaces. Each of our rooms has been designed to provide you a space that feels like home. Including custom artwork and furniture, every room is outfitted with its own unique appointments. Short Stories Restaurant serves our take on California cuisine. Inspired by our nearby farmers markets, fresh, seasonal ingredients are sourced to create dishes influenced by the cultural diversity of California by way of the Far East, Latin America and the Mediterranean. While the restaurant is our most formal dining option, in true LA style, there’s no dress code or fussy requirements. The intimate dining room can fill quickly, reservations are recommended.

Pros: Great location right next to The Grove and the Farmers Market. Very close to 3rd street. The room is very spacious and clean.

Cons: My room was on the ground floor, facing the parking and close to the elevator, which made for a very noisy stay

Nice hotel in a good location with cute aesthetic.

Pros: The property is right near The Grove which was great. The room had a cute design and was spacious enough for 3 people.

Cons: The lobby / reception bathroom was in the pool which and was not very nice to use when freshening up upon arrival.

My new favourite place to stay in LA because the location is perfect, rooms are big and courtyard has a lovely ambience.

Pros: The location was absolutely perfect. So close to the Grove shopping centre, CVS and Erwhon and other supermarkets. Very central location that you can walk to a lot places. The rooms were big. The food at the bar was so incredible and the courtyard was a divine place to sit.

Cons: The pool was compact, but perfectly functional.

Pros: Cute design, very nice bar in the room (water, snacks & alcohol), books and huuuuge TV :) Walkable to some good restaurants, mall & supermarkets! If you're thinking to stay here without a car it is a good choice.

Perfect LA location

Pros: Clean, comfortable bed and pillows, great location, quiet, across the road from great food options and easy walk to the Grove, galleries and museums

Pros: Nice location, clean, although we find some hail on the towels, friendly staff.

Cons: It was a bit to loud for us, but it gets better between 11pm and 5 am so we managed to rest.

Relaxed atmosphere and great location.

Pros: The location was excellent. Across the road from the Grove shopping mall. Walking distance to food and supermarkets. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Lived sitting i. The lovely foyer having a coffee in the morning.

Cons: It doesn’t have any down sides.
