Lovely stay with a few avoidable oversights

Pros: The bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff were all very lovely. As a guest of the hotel, I was also given complimentary entry to a paid event that was happening in the bar area, which was a really nice touch.

Cons: I was surprised that, because I was travelling alone, it was assumed I would be a ‘Mr’, and all automated correspondence was addressed as ‘Dear Mr’. Despite advising that this was incorrect and being assured it would be updated, I continued to receive correspondence addressed this way. It was disappointing that this was not corrected. I was also not advised prior to check-in that the pool area would be closed. As this is a key amenity for many guests, advance notice would have been appreciated, as it may have influenced my decision to proceed with the booking.

Excellent hotel. The 1-bedroom Hollywood hills suite was spacious and modern. Very quiet room too.

Pros: The room, the staff, the location, the hotel were all great. Directly across the road from the Beverly Centre and clothing outlets. Straightforward walk or short drive to The Grove and Farmer Markets.

Cons: $89 valet parking adds up if you're staying multiple nights. No self-service parking option at the hotel.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff and beautifully appointed

Pros: Great decor downstairs and nice rooms. Helpful staff. They brought me a bar fridge!

Cons: In room movies were overpriced. Room service was very expensive. Various taxes eg the mandatory resort fee and all the other taxes significantly raised the price of the room and other items - way above expectations.

Pros: Staff were very nice and accomodating, attentive housekeeping service, nice gym and restaurant, the jazz was great! Good mini bar selection. It was quiet in the room at nighttime.

Cons: 1. Jazz on Monday was great but there were about 5 different start times communicated across website and other materials 2. Bed was uncomfortable and feathers pocked through 3. We were told we had a quiet room but the school across the road was very noisy 4. The pool gets shady from 12.30pm because of Beverly centre
