Beautiful

Pros: The first room had heating on but wasn't enough to get the room warm. The lady at the desk switched us promptly to another room were heating was working very well.

It was my first time in big Bear, and the Black Forest Lodge, was very convenient for getting to hiking trails, shopping

Pros: Great location. The Village and the lake were both within walking distance. I also loved having my own little balcony. The pool looked lovely, even though I didn’t use it. The coffee available and the reception area was excellent, and I loved having the ice machine so nearby my room. Room, it’s obviously enormous, with a lovely fireplace.

Cons: Crossing the very busy highway to get to the lake side. The old furnishings had their pros and cons. I loved the big desk in the room, which allowed me to do watercolour painting. On the negative side, the old thick rug was clean, but probably full of dust because I did a lot of sneezing when I came back in every evening.

We’re definitely coming back!

Pros: I loved how friendly the staff were. Everything was close by. Beautiful scenery. Grounds were well looked after.

Cons: I would say more variety for the breakfast would be great. Extra blankets in the rooms and extra toilet paper. Salt and pepper for guests who use the mini fridge and stove to make their own food.

A Comfortable stay at a 70s themed hotel complex, I’d come back.

Pros: Proximity to places of interest. 5 minutes to snow summit. 10 minutes to bear resort. 12 minutes to the park and ride. 5 minutes to the lake.

Cons: During my stay, property Was under construction so things were out of place.

Pros: We had a jacuzzi in the room. In the pictures, the jacuzzi looked very small — no problem for me since I’m a petite girl — but when we arrived, it was actually huge 😀 Breakfast was great. It wasn’t the typical eggs, cereal, or fruit, but it was very filling. There were fresh pastries and ready-to-eat baked goods, and some of them were conveniently packaged. There was no coffee in the breakfast area because the coffee machine was broken, but it wasn’t a big deal since there was a coffee maker in the room. We took our breakfast and ate it in the cottage. The room was amazing. I love this place 🩵

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: Cabin was amazing, the hot tub was super comfortable right next to the fire place, and the lobby with the NES set up was perfect. Jackie was welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect.

Cons: It is not anything I did not like, just something I am looking forward to... there is some construction being done to finish up what looks to be a beautiful bar, can't wait to return and check it out.

Pros: The upgrades that were done in the room we stayed in were very nice. I loved all the woodwork in the room.

Cons: I felt like the living room area needs a TV. It would have been nice to watch a movie with the fireplace going. That was a huge miss.
