Shade Hotel Redondo Beach

Pros: Good location looking out over the marina. Several restrooms in walking distance.

Cons: Don’t care for the steep daily parking fee. Plus, it’s all valet parking which at times is annoying, though the staff are efficient.

Great location, cute boutique hotel

Pros: Great location and the view from our balcony of the marina was fabulous. The swimming pool though small was lovely and relaxing watching the stunning sunset. The room size was big and spacious and the bathroom/shower was great. Complimentary rental of bicycles was a great touch and the refreshing welcome drink.

Cons: The room was extremely humid. The bed sheets were always cold and damp because of the humidity making it so uncomfortable to sleep. The bed itself was too soft along with the pillows. We didn’t sleep well because of this and my husband caught a cold from the humidity and air con factored in together. We spoke to front desk on several occasions about this issue but when offered a different room on the same floor, we checked it out, the same problem of humidity. Disappointing as it could be whole lot better if they fixed this issue. We do understand that the hotel is in front of a marina so humidity can occur but they need to put dehumidifiers in the rooms or find another solution. When you’re paying 450 dollars a night for a room at least you want a decent night sleep and to feel comfortable. Breakfast though complimentary doesn’t offer much choice. Orange juice at least could be included instead of having to pay extra for it along with many other food and bev items. We really like this hotel, minus the prob of the room I mentioned. Staff could be more friendly. Only one of the front desk was approachable the others you had to greet them first, not the nicest welcome.

Excellent place for relaxing.

Pros: Very nice spacious modern room, with very comfortable beds. We had city view room, but it had partly view on the Marina and beautiful sunset. We had nice dinner in the restaurant. The pool on the roof has fantastic view on the sea and Marina.

Cons: Breakfast was very poor.

Pros: The roof top terrace with spa pool. Excellent view of the boats in the Marina, and a couple of seals swimming in the evenings. Large comfortable beds.

Beautiful motel and staff were very helpful.

Pros: Breakfast included and staff were very friendly. Rooms quite large and clean, beds so comfy.

Cons: Nothing, it was great.

Great stay

Pros: Clean and modern facilities, great location, beautiful outlook- seeing sealions play in the marina. The bath on the balcony was fantastic. Breakfast included was a bonus.

Cons: The memory foam bed was worn- had channels which kept you in place (no sleeping in the middle!). The fridge was stinky and infected anything put in it which was a shame. Events/functions all the time we were there were noisy.

Pros: Beautiful location right at the Marina. Bike lane along the beach. Close to bars and restaurants at Hermosa Beach. Nice pool with whirlpool.

Cons: There is no choice but valet parking.

Pros: Great facilities and location, warm welcome. Loved the bikes that were offered to guests.

Pros: Beautiful hotel! Stunning , spacious & comfortable rooms . Rooftop pool & sun beds were amazing overlooking the marina. Lovely staff. Tea & coffee served in the morning. Only downside to this hotel is the high parking charge- we avoided this parking on a street 10 min walk away.

Cons: High Parking charge

Pros: The hotel is great for me as a solo traveler. The rooms are big and the staff are really helpful. It’s lovely to be by the sea and be able to walk all the way to Manhattan Beach.

Cons: Not much, I have stayed here many times and the hotel is clean, it has a nice roof terrace and the staff are kind.
