Loved the Eden, warm and friendly staff and great coffee

Pros: Welcome was great and location is fantastic. Coffee bar was fabulous

Cons: Rooms could have robes in them and a chair to sit as the room had enough space

Fabulous hotel with authentic decor and wonderful staff

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location

Pros: Everything .. we returned to try The Eden as were massive Shanghai-La fans and we were not disappointed - rooms, service and overall sense of luxury are back

Cons: It was opening weekend for bar so some teething issues but lovely location and drinks

Pros: Beautifully restored , extremely clean and spotless, staff were friendly and very helpful

Cons: Breakfast was unexpectedly not available one day which affected our plans. A minor inconvenience and I know staff are sometimes sick etc, so it wasn’t a major issue- some alternatives nearby

Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Outstanding decour, cleanliness, location and wonderful staff.

Pros: This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. It’s immaculate and beautifully designed and styled. The staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgable. We had an outstanding family room that was perfect for the five of us-huge, clean, airy, and a see view that left us feeling we were almost on the beach.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great hotel! Extremely well located in Santa Monica close to everthing: beach, shops, restaurants, bike rentals and public parking. Great architecture, the breakfast room is super nice!

Cons: If the rooftop bar would have been opened, it would have been perfect!

Stylish building with great pool. Great location for the beach and easy access to transport options to other areas of L

Pros: Great pool. Beautiful building. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff who also loaned me chargers when my plug adapter didn’t work. They also let me check my bag behind the counter before and after checkout to suit my flight times.

Cons: No issues - was there on 4 July so a bit of noise at night but to be expected from the location and there was an extra panel on the bedroom window to reduce this.
