Perfect location in Santa Monica

Pros: Very good location with only a short walk to the beach and great shopping/restaurants just around the corner. The metro E line end station is across the street. However the metro system in general is quite slow and not at par with that in many other big cities. The room was big and bathrooms very nice. Comfortable beds. Good housekeeping. A small cafe in the lobby where you can buy light breakfast. Nice poolarea and gym. Would warmly recommend this hotel and Santa Monica in general for families visiting LA. The hotel is quite new so very fresh overall!

Cons: Well the housing problem of LA with homelessness is also visible around the hotel. Unfortunately not something to avoid in this city. We did feel safe all the time.

Pros: The staff were all amazing but front desk staff Varlie and Jordan definitely went above and beyond making us feel extremely welcome!

Cons: The bed in our room was very uncomfortable!

Great stay

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised- location (close to the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd street promenade and shopping centre), kind staff, great service, no hidden charges or fees, amenities, all the comfort and quality you could expect from Marriott. I was a bit hesitant to choose this hotel at first because it is so close to the metro E line station, but I enjoyed a cozy room and complete silence. I recommend this hotel especially for longer stays.

Pros: Room was spacious and bed was comfortable for the overnight I spent there

Cons: Bathroom water pressure was terrible and the cistern was making quite a noise, but nothing like closing the bathroom door. Did report that to the front-desk
