Simple and good value. Very clean.

Pros: Friendly staff. Simple yet very sufficient breakfast. Rooms were very clean despite being slightly aged. They did the best with what was there.

Cons: Not much. It was exactly as I expected and very comfortable.

Pros: Large and clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Location is close to Caltech (10 minutes walk) where we had a conference. There is a small fitness room and a pool but I didn't try them.

Cons: Few restaurant options if you don't have a car.

Welcoming

Pros: The person working at reception was really welcoming and gave us advice on where to eat in the city. They were enthusiastic about our stay and the Pasedena area. The room was lovely; spacious and clean and was an easy walk to shops and restaurants one way and Caltech the other.

Nice place to stay when visiting the Pasadena area

Pros: Nicely renovated motel style hotel with breakfast buffet, parking and a pool (did not use). We stayed here and returned to stay a second time, staff is friendly and helpful. Mini fridge, Microwave and Coffee ensuite. Recommend the Mountain View rooms on the third floor.

A perfect blend of comfort, nostalgia, and exceptional service—this stay wasn’t jus

Pros: The breakfast was great, with fresh, crisp bagels and warm, comforting coffee—but honestly, that’s not the reason I chose to stay here. The bed was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for rest after a long flight. What made this place truly special to me, though, was the location and nostalgia. 23 years ago, I lived right across the street at 42 North Michigan Avenue, back when this hotel was still Vagabond Inn. The service was outstanding—the cashier even waited for me in the middle of the night to check in after my long journey. That level of care and hospitality made a lasting impression.

Cons: Nothing significant—my stay was smooth, and the service was top-notch.
